Are You Replacing an Old Fence or Building in a New Fence

First of all the thing you should need to consider to identify your's property boundry. You sure don't wanna build your fencing outside of your property area. If there is a new area that require fencing around your home, make sure that you are not building in the wrong place. It can assure that you are not building fence accross anything important, like guttering or a sewer that require access.

What Kind of Fencing would you like

Of course there are different types of fences are there to choose that can be used across your home. You can choose from lap panel to build across your garden, or picket panels that can add around the front of your home, you can build some decorative panels or even something else too.

Depending on what the weather's like for the most of the year you may want to consider different type of fencing over another. For instance there are also metal fencing and vinyl fencing for school, small or large bussiness and other commercial purposes.

      Consider adding gravel boards

A gravel board is what's added underneath your fence to protect it from any underlying water damage. They also act like small foundation that your fence sits on, more secure in the ground and more durable when there's any severe weather. Plus They also reduce the amount of rot  your timber fence could get if it's planted straight into the ground

Look into the wood treatment option

Like wooden walls, fences need protection too! Using fence oil is the great way to keep the wood protected throughout the year, especially in harsher months when there is tend to be more rain and harsh sunlight

      Choosing Flooring for Small Spaces

Don't live in a sprawling mansion by the sea? There are good chances that there's at least  one room in your home on the tiny side, weather it's the laundry or spare bedroom. For small rooms the last thing you want to do is make the space looks even more smaller. The type of flooring you choose can have a huge impact on how big it feels. If you want to create the illusion of space keep the following advice in mind when selecting your floor covering. Click here to contact us we offer flooring services in all over Ottawa.

      • Tiles

One of the main thing you want to watch out for when picking any kind of flooring for a small room is visual clutter. With tiles, grout lines take time for the eye to process, therefore making the space feels more crowed. Choosing the larger tiles will reduce the number of groud lines and make the room more comfortable and spacious. Reserve heavily patterend tiles for decorative trim or larger areas as a busy design in small room can overwhelm and tighten the space.

      • Carpet
Solid colour carpet  isn't the only way to go when it comes to choosing it for small room. With that being said, That being said, if you do opt for a patterned carpet, select a carpet patterned in different shades of the same colour or choose a cut and loop pile carpet in a single colour where the pattern is sculpted into the pile for a floor with subtle visual interest and depth. Carpets comes in many colours and different texture design s, but using the carpets that matches the colour of walls will make the space feel seamless, flowing on the floor to wall.

Timber, bamboo, laminatem, or wood-look flooring. Make sure the goal is to reduce visual clutter, when choosing timber or wood-look flooring, make sure you also examine the wood grain. A smoother grain with less variation in colour and contrast with help to reduce visual clutter. For a bolder look, you can even lay your plank diagonally from corner to corner of the room to create illusion of expansion

If you want to avoid all that hassle contact us we will provide all solution according to your specific problem.

      How to install Potlights

If you wants to install pot-lights where was no fixtures before, it is a more complicated and complex project. We will recommend that you contact a licensed contractor or you could hire us on Click here to contact us we provide our service mostly in Ottawa Canada. But if you still want to give this project a try here are some steps by steps instructions.

      • Turn of the power

you should always turns the power off at the main circuit breaker before attempting any electrical project. You can pick up a circuit tester at the hardware store to test that that power is off before you do anything with electrical wire.

      • Cut the hole

trace your fixture on a piece of paper to use as a cutting template. Some fixtures comes with a paper or card board cutting guide. Draw the outline of the hole on the ceiling first. Make sure the you are not drawing over the size of hole. Then cut the hole carefully using a drywall  saw or hole cutting attachment on your drill.

      • Run the wiring

Now things becomes tricky in this step. You will have to connect and run cable from power source to a switch box and then to the first pot-light hole you have cut through the ceiling. Leave some extra space for extra wiring to make it much easier to work when pot-light is being installed

      • Attach the wiring to the fixture

Once the wiring is at the pot-light opening ,run it into the light junction box and clamp it. You will find there will be black, white and a bare ground wire. Connect the black to black wire, white to white wire and bare to bare wire.

      • Test it before mounting fixture

Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker and use a voltage tester to test the fixture. Electricity should be reaching  the socket. If you have confirmed it works, turn the break back off and continue the next steps.

      • Put in the pot light housing

Most recessed light have clips on the housing that clamp the housing to the ceiling. Pull out all the clips, ensuring they are not sticking out of the housing. Then put it in the hole until it's flush with the ceiling line. Then push the clips up and outward to secure the housing.

      • Secure the baffle and trim

Sometimes these parts are attached to the housing. If so, attach the housing to the holes in the pot light and slide the baffle and trim upward until the entire unit is flush with the ceiling line

      • Put in the light bulb

As mentioned above, you want to choose a light bulb type that has the appropriate wattage for fixture. LED lights works the best , are the most efficient and don't give off heat like incandescent bulbs
